REEcycle is a private US rare earth recycling company focused on recovering rare earth elements from end-of-life NdFeB permanent magnets using a patented, low-temperature, low-waste process that achieves 99.8% recovery efficiency of rare earth oxides without generating significant solid or liquid waste streams. The company sources spent magnets from hard disk drives, EV and wind turbine motors, speakers, MRI machines, and defense and satellite systems, and produces a mixed rare earth oxide product sold to OEMs for re-manufacture into new NdFeB magnets — completing a fully circular domestic supply loop. REEcycle was awarded $5.1 million in non-dilutive funding from the US Department of Defense in 2025, reflecting its strategic importance to domestic rare earth supply chain security, and has received recognition from Scientific American for its innovative approach to turning electronic waste into a domestic REE resource.
