Lab Magnetics is a Silicon Valley-based R&D center and magnetic testing laboratory established in 2018 as a division of Quadrant, a global magnetics and advanced technology company founded in 1992 and headquartered in San Diego. The lab’s testing services include magnetic material qualification and validation, 3D magnetic field mapping using a Brockhaus GM 460 Gaussmeter system, mechanical force calculation, metallic coating thickness analysis, and soft magnetic material testing, all supported by FEA simulation using Infolytica MagNet and Ansys Maxwell for design modeling prior to prototype production. Lab Magnetics also provides end-to-end prototyping services with rapid turnaround — including 48-hour quick-turn for less complex designs — and in-house manufacturing of NdFeB, SmCo, Alnico, and other alloy magnets using Wire EDM, EDM Drill, CNC milling, and linear surface grinding equipment, serving automotive, consumer electronics, medical, appliance, and security markets.
