PESC leverages PESTO, a software developed in-house, compiling more than 15+ years of experience in motor design and manufacturing in a single tool. PESTO is a finite element based motor design software, incorporating advanced models to evaluate performance (torque curves, efficiency maps, demagnetization…). PESTO has also been developed with computational efficiency in mind, in order to deliver the most robust sizing process by rapidly generating high fidelity databases of motors: a numerical motor production line at your fingertips!

Pierre Pellerey, founder of PESC in 2021, brings over 15 years of experience in designing and optimizing electric motors. With a Ph.D. in electrical and mechanical engineering, he’s authored 16 publications and holds 4 patents. His motor designs power over 3M EVs, 10M home appliances, and 100k micro-mobility solutions.

Specializing in computational electromagnetics, Pierre uses proprietary tools (PESTO) for system-level optimal solutions, considering the multiphysics nature of the problem. His expertise includes design for manufacturing, reliability testing, and supply chain intricacies.

Pierre creates customized testing strategies, and beyond technical details, he effectively communicates findings to non-technical audiences. His insights have influenced important product decisions at both Tesla and Dyson.
